Revolver Traum

Cadartin Produktionen

Regie: Charlotte von Bausznern
Text: Lola Arias
Costumes: Susan Ehrenbaum
Scenography: Peter Meier
Light design: Minna Heikkilä
On stage: Esther Becker, Christian Kerepeszki

Premiere: September 19th 2009, Raum 33, Treibstoff Theatertage 09, Basel, CH

A feminine voice, a masculine voice, darkness, future...

A glimpse between perspectives to the privacy of two people reaching for each other and fleeing from another in the night.

Technically the challenge of this production was to create a sort of "peeping-Tom" feeling for the spectator: there is no direct view-point to the stage, audience gets all the images somehow once or twice removed... distorted... multiplied.

This is a fast-paced dance performance targeted for teenage audiences. Stage is app. 6m x 6m arena with audience sitting on all four sides. The topics move around the big questions of growing up and discovering one's own identity. - Who am I? Who and what defines "me"; my friends, my parents, me myself? - Where and how do I belong?

Das MAIDing

Cadartin Produktionen / Raum 33, Basel

Direction / Regie: Charlotte von Bausznern
Scenography / Bühne: Peter Meier.
Light / Licht: Minna Heikkilä and Christa Wenger.
On stage / Mit: Esther Becker, Elina Müller Meyer.

Showtime: 25th and 27th May 2009.

Das MAIDing is a picture of a woman in such time of her life, where getting a new haircut doesn't solve the problem anymore. - It's about questioning who you really are and where to go from here. It is also a quick study for the upcoming "Revolver Traum" production opening this autumn.

One of the topics that we wanted to explore was to give each spectator a chance to change the light himself. Meaning, every spectator was provided with a switch that controlled one light unit on stage. In this way the audience was given a possibility to create visual scenes together.
